The Community Prevention Programs assists children and their families employ proactive early intervention counselling and support services, creating public awareness and providing education and training in order to alleviate the need for more intrusive protection mechanisms.
These programs involve a broad range of early detection and intervention strategies. Including things such as, assessment, diagnostic and counselling services, early childhood learning and education, community capacity building, individual and family counselling, creating public awareness and the delivery of training and development programs. All this to ensure parents, guardians and families are competent, capable and committed to providing children and adults in their care with a healthy, safe and nurturing environment.
